The Center for Student Health and Counseling is located at 1880 SW
6th Ave. (University Center Building, Suite 200.)
Appointments for Medical or Counseling services can be made by calling the
clinic at 503-725-2800 or by coming into the clinic and speaking with one of
our receptionists. Information on our Dental and Testing Service hours are
listed at the bottom of this page.
Summer Clinic Fees
Students enrolled for 1 or more credit hours are eligible to use the SHAC Health,
Mental Health and Dental services. Students who paid the health fee during Spring Term,
and are planning to return in Fall Term, but are not taking classes in the summer may
use SHAC services on a fee-for-service basis throughout Summer Term. Click
here for a chart that shows the fees as well as provides further
explanation. The Extended coverage may be purchased for an additional fee (based on age)
until 7/21/08.
Hours of Operation for Summer Term (June 23rd through September 28th)
- Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Nurse Visit hours for Summer Term:
- Monday through Wednesday and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Thursdays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Nurse appointments for non-illness related issues (injections, non-symptomatic STI
screens, STI lab results, smoking cessation) are only available on Tuesdays and
Wednesdays through Summer term.
Please Note: If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment
with Student Health Services or Counseling and Psychological Services, you are to
notify SHAC by the close of the business day prior to your appointment. If you fail to
attend your scheduled appointment or fail to cancel according to the SHAC Cancellation
Policy, your student account will be assessed a $25 Missed Appointment Fee.
Night messaging is acceptible.
Below are the hours of operation during the academic year (Fall, Winter and Spring Terms):
Nurses can be seen on a drop-in basis or by appointment.
There are no same day nurse appts available, but nurse appts can be made in advance
for non-illness related issues (vaccinations, smoking cessation, etc.).
Nurse visit hours for the academic year (Fall, Winter and Spring Terms):
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Please note that during times of high demands, emergencies receive higher priority.
Dispensary Pick-up Hours
- Prescriptions can be picked up or dropped off at the dispensary window in the lobby
area during the following times:
Monday to Wednesday 8:30-6:00
Thursday 10:00-6:00
Friday 8:30-5:00
Some medications can be dispensed only by providers, between the hours of
12:00-1:00 and 4:00-5:00. Please ask your provider if your medication falls in this
category.

Dental Services Hours and Location
- Monday through Saturday year-round with the
exception of major holidays. Regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The Dental Suite is at 1880 SW 6th Ave, in the University Center
Building (UCB). UCB is located between Harrison and Hall Streets. Enter through
the side doors on either Harrison or Hall Street. Take the elevator to the third
floor. Follow the signs to Dental Services, Suite 309. Our newly remodeled clinic
has lovely views of the west hills and the tram as it travels to and from the waterfront.
